Our Name Is Crisis

2.5 out of 5 stars (In-Flight movie #5)

This could really be more edgy or takes a few more risks in the script but instead, we have a fairly safe film where salient points are made via numerous quotations and the plotting is pretty conventional by the standard of its genre. Sandra Bullock and Billy Bob Thornton are great and have chemistry when onscreen together, serving up some old-school battle of the sexes rivalry that is always welcomed and fun to watch but the film doesn’t know whether to praise or condemn its subject matter, the political strategists as a group, and the result is a muddled dramedy that is uneven in tone and could do with more bite and less PC sentimentality.
