3 out of 5 stars (In-Flight movie #3)

Supposedly an exercise to extend the success of the Despicable Me franchise and more importantly the almost limitless potential in merchandising possibilities, this should’ve been really awful but it is thankfully rather imaginatively written and even occasionally very funny, that is until the story landed in Britain, when the jokes get rather hackneyed, stale and uninspiring. Undemanding watch for toddlers (or even the occasional adult) but not without its infantile charms.
